Privacy Policy

Protecting your privacy is important to Webporter. We have developed the following policy to let you know what information we might collect, and the reason(s) associated with our collection of such information. Your use of Webporter's website or services constitutes your acceptance of this policy.

Personal Contact Information

In the course of providing services, Webporter acquires and stores information, including your name, email addresses, and contact details such as postal address, telephone number, and the like, in order to establish services. We do not tolerate spam (refer to Unsolicited Bulk Email (UBE) Policy), and will never willingly divulge your email address or other contact details to another party.

Payment Information

If making payments by credit card, your connection is secured through very high SSL encryption. Your credit card number will only ever be stored in encrypted format using extremely high 1024-bit GnuPG security ensuring your details are optimally protected.

Website Tracking Information

While there are many ways our website may obtain information from you, three of the main ways include:

  • using sessions and cookies to store and pass information between pages, for example, throughout our online order process
  • storing of electronic mail, and other communications, as a necessary part of our communications with you
  • tracking where you enter our website, links you click, and actions you perform while visiting.

Newsletters and Direct Mailings

Webporter may contact clients in relation to bills and invoices, renewal notices, and general running services. Newsletters will also be sent occasionally to clients about critical updates to services, new products and services that may be of interest, and general news and information. These newsletters are extremely important as they allow you to keep current with important developments surrounding Webporter, for example, server moves which may affect the your services with us. If you wish to unsubscribe, then you need to send a message from the registered email address to unsubscribe@webporter.com.

Links to external websites may be provided by Webporter, or on Webporter's site. Webporter may also make use of third-party systems in the general operation of its own website and services. Such external websites and third-parties have separate practices independent of Webporter, and Webporter disclaims any responsibility or liability for their policies and actions.

Disclosure of Information

Webporter will not disclose its clients' personal and account information, unless Webporter has reason to believe that disclosing such information is necessary to identify, make contact with, or bring legal action against someone who may be causing harm or interfering with the rights or property of Webporter, Webporter’s clients, or others, or where Webporter has a good faith belief that the law requires such disclosure.

Webporter also will not, except for reasons stated below, disclose to third parties the contents of any electronic mail or other electronic communications that Webporter stores or transmits for its clients. The circumstances under which Webporter will disclose such information are when:

  1. it is necessary in order to provide service to the client;
  2. it is necessary to protect the legitimate interests of Webporter and/or its clients;
  3. it is required to cooperate with interception orders, warrants, or other legal process that Webporter determines in its sole discretion to be valid and enforceable; and
  4. it is required to cooperate with a law enforcement agency when the contents are inadvertently obtained by Webporter and appear to pertain to the commission of a crime.
